Before your appointment:
If you are a new client please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out paperwork. If you arrive at the designated time the time will come out of your appointment.
Please be sure you do not arrive to your scheduled appointment with any eye makeup on (mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow). Discontinue wearing mascara for at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment for better results. If you must have makeup on please do not wear mascara! Please note if you do show up with makeup on there will be a charge of $10-$20 added onto your appointment for makeup removal, and the time used to remove the makeup will impact how much time I have to do your lash appointment.
DO NOT wear any false lashes of any kind for at least 94 hours (or 4 days) preferably discontinue use a week prior to the appointment.
After your appointment:
Do not get the lashes wet for at least 24 hours after the appointment! This includes no sweating, steam or water of any kind. After the 24 hours, you can shower, swim and sweat as normal! We recommend that you hold off on any type of workout for 24 hours after you service as well as sweat does affects the adhesive. Try avoiding sleeping on your face or on the side of your face, for the first 24 hours as this will impact the longevity of your lashes. This is very important for the CurlPerfect Lashlift as it can hurt the curl and cause the lashes to bend in different ways.
Use a clean mascara wand to brush them out. Sometimes sleep can cause them to tangle around each other. Gently brushing them with a clean mascara wand will help them spread out and look full.
Be sure to use an oil-free makeup remover around the lashes. Oil based products will break down the adhesive and cause them to shed faster. Be sure to check the ingredients on ALL facial products that you use to ensure there is no oil in them. Important: Best to use q-tips to remove any eye makeup and be sure to clean around the lashes for a longer lasting service.
Please be sure to clean your lashes throughly every single night. Residue from eyeshadow, eyeliner, concealer and powders can build up on your lashes over time and can prevent proper adhesion at your fill appointments.
Try avoiding excessive rubbing of your eyes, this may cause the lash extensions to pull out and bring the natural lash with them.
DO NOT pull the lash extensions off yourself! Let them fall off naturally.
Please note: Our lashes shed naturally as like our body hair there is a hair growth cycle and loss cycle. Most of the time we do not notice this with our lashes until we get Extensions and sadly there is no way for me or any lash stylist to predict this cycle. People typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes each day, depending on their individual growth cycles. So your fills will vary depending on this cycle.
I pride myself on my work. If for any reason you are not happy within 5-7 days of your appointment I will be more than happy to do a 45 minute "fix" appointment so we can troubleshoot any issues you may be having with loss. I will ask you to supply a list of products with ingredients when you come in for this appointment so we can ensure there is no oil in those products. This will be free of charge, unless we learn that there is in fact oil in one of those products that you have been using. This responsibility has to be in your hands as those products are at your home. I advise everyone at their first initial appointment that oil must be avoided! Please note this will not be a fill appointment but a fix so yes new lashes will be put on but not as many as a fill appointment.
